Stop what you are doing, RIGHT NOW.
Are you having a bad day?
A frustrating Tuesday?
Someone at the office got you down? Big project, busy office?
Moving (or not moving)?
Well my friends, you are in luck- Baby Bellevue is here to cure whatever blues you have going on because I can GUARANTEE you, you can't look at her without smiling.
Ok now look again- her chin rolls. I just CAN'T.
Here is an adorable picture of a newborn wearing a 6-9 month outfit. I'm dying.
In case you thought it doesn't get cuter- here she is snuggling a little lamb. A LAMB. This perfect 10 pound newborn-wearing-6-month-clothes is snuggling a lamb.
And maybe just one more time reminding you that not all newborns sleep during their sessions....
Or at least, not during their whole sessions. Happy Tuesday!
This deviates a little bit from my usual post, but it really hits all my little heartstings.
This is my little cousin, LilyGrace. She is 18 years old (I know, I'm in trouble) and about to graduate high school.
This photography session was born from a dream I've been having over and over again, of this red flash swirling through the air. Like a dancer, or a shadow, or a whisper in the wind; just a red whip of smoke through the air. I kept having this feeling like " Man, I need to figure out what this is all about!" and "Seriously, why am I having these dreams?!?" Well, friends, that led to an idea.
Red for me is bold. It's courageous, it's tempting, and inspiring, and empowering. It's something that blossoms, and creates, and self values. Red, for me, is strength. And then? Red became a dress, and an the idea became a photograph.
It baffles me to think that this beautiful, classy, strong young woman in front of me was the same one year old baby I welcomed to the United States when she was adopted. This INDIVIDUAL in front of me has blossomed into a courageous, inspiring woman who is going boldly after her dreams. She is empowered, and she is incredible.
Treasure your little ones. PHOTOGRAPH them. Before you know it, they do that terrible, horrible, and incredible thing called growing up. They blossom in front of you. They change. They evolve into these beautiful creatures that are greater than even you had dreamed. Just like that, they aren't the same baby you held for the first time 17 years ago.
Red, for me, is beautiful.
THIS CHILD. Oh, my heavens. This baby. I LOVE her! This is little Braelyn Olivia, who just turned 8 months old. She is a giggling, smiling, happy little chunk that was just happy as a clam to explore the studio at her session. I mean, come on !
This muffin has my heart.
Gerber baby 2017, yes? I think so!
Little bub's mum loved this image, and I couldn't agree more. She just looks like a sweet little doll.
How amazing this little one? Between her sweet baby blues and scrumptious chubby wrist rolls, I know her family loves her to pieces! And, me too!
Kindly turns one!
Oops- get ready for all the feels.
World, meet this sweet mama and daughter. This beautiful mama came to me at first all the way back in November to talk about portraits. We instantly clicked- I could tell she had a vision that aligned with mine almost immediately. Elegant, classic, she said, but not too much- ethereal, and calming, and something that accentuated the bond she had with her sweet baby.
I know, I was already swooning.
This mama, though I am positive she wouldn't admit it, is one of the strongest young women I have had the honor of photographing. Her sweet little came into the world with the most glorious tools and chunk I have ever seen! We spend the afternoon in the studio capturing all of the details she wanted so desperately to preserve while here wee one was so small.
With the simplicity and elegance that she had spoken of, I knew she needed to be in one of the Sew Trendy Gowns, and her skin tones immediately demanded an Ivy & Nell matching mama and me floral crown set. The contrast of the simply white gone and passionate colors in the florals were nothing short of incredible.
I was SO excited that mama chose to preserve these memories in a Keepsake Book- gorgeous lush matte pages bound in a sandy linen cover, now each and every precious image has a place to live!
Hannah is now reserving newborn session by due dates into June, with only a few spaces open for the month of May. If you or someone you know is interested in a newborn, maternity, or family session please do not wait to reach out to her!
Babies at this age (Ellie was just about a year old here) are raring to go! She was so interested in everything around here, and curious about what I was doing as well, which made for some awesome eye contact. Little muffin has my heart with those eyes!
Make your appointment today! Your sweet wee ones will be grown before you know it.
I know, Ellie; it's hard to believe, but yes some day you will grow up!
PSA; I'm sorry for the imminent baby fever that is about to commence.
World; meet sweet Titan and his incredible protector, big brother Kingston. Aren't their names incredible? Mama came to me and I knew instantly that we were going to make magic; she is the sweetest soul who just absolutely adores her boys. Ashley recently moved her family up to New Hampshire, and I was so excited that she found me!
Dear ladies, I'm so sorry for the baby fever. With this fella, it was definitely inevitable!
Are you thinking of booking your own maternity or newborn session? Please don't wait! I recommend contacting me as soon as you know you are interested in a session (Maternity session by 5-6 months, newborn session can be booked at the same time!) so that we can make sure you get a date that you want. Just head over to the attached link to book your session today!
Get ready for the cutest little 10 month old, ever.
World, meet Austin!
Austin and his gorgeous mom, Jill, and handsome dad Matt are spending their first year in New Hampshire and absolutely had to capture their first season with fall foliage. I was super excited to meet with Jill, who was first recommended to me by a few clients-turned-friends who live in Barrington (thanks loves!!) on the Barrington NH Connections Facebook page. If you aren't part of your local communities page, I highly recommend looking it up- this is an invaluable resource to help you find local services, playgroups, vendors, and luckily, ME!
Anyhoot, it brought us together and I couldn't have been happier. Yay!
Jill came out to the Washington Mill Building studio in Dover NH, for her pre session consultation and design. We got a chance to really figure out the best places to photograph her family, and how to best capture those sweet connections between mom, dad, and little fella. We decided on a quintessential covered bridge (sorry, this one is a secret!) and an apple orchard.
After the Covered Bridge we made a stop at Mac's Apple in Hampton- I would say their first trip to an apple orchard was a success!
Every once in a while people ask if I still photograph weddings. Yes! I still do. Though I have been super lucky to slide into my little newborn corner of the photography world, I still take on between 6-10 weddings each year. I work with many fewer brides than I used to, but it allows me to really get to know each couple.
Introducing: Tierney and Tom. Swoon.
These two incredible people met in college and in the past years have graduated with bachelors, moved to a new home, and added the most gorgeous little blue eyed little girl to their family. Things have not always been easy for the two of them, what with a complicated pregnancy and their little one in the NICU for quite a while- but it is blatantly obvious that these experiences have only brought them closer. Photographing them was so easy because they were so natural and relaxed together, and so easily fell into each other each time I asked them to. They braved the cold and a setting sun, and this is the result!
Venue: Wagon Hill Farm
Sweet Issac. My heavens. He was an absolute champ and snoozed through his whole session! Mama brought him in to model my new favorite outfits from Pup and Frank Props- I mean, have you ever seen a cuter reindeer? No, I think not.
